The Chimney House Hotel, Sandbach

The Chimney House Hotel is ideally located for great days out. Roman Chester, with 2,000 years of history, is one of Europe's top heritage cities boasting a complete circuit of walls, sections of which date back to Roman times, as well as a Norman Cathedral.

Other attractions include the beautiful River Dee, the recently restored Grosvenor and Cheshire Military Museums, a Roman Amphitheatre, the beautiful Grosvenor Park and the city's famous Roodee Racecourse.

Also in Chester is the UK's largest zoological gardens, with over 7,000 animals in spacious enclosures set in 110 acres of landscaped gardens.

The Peak District National Park is not far away, with its beautiful open spaces, and The Potteries, rich in our industrial heritage. Jodrell Bank, with the world famous Lovell Radio Telescope and Observatory, has a visitor centre with a wealth of exhibitions and attractions.
