Reputed to be one of the oldest former inns in England, the newly refurbished Maids Head Hotel in the heart of Norwich is a good base for visiting the Norfolk Broads. The hotel is offering room and breakfast for £75, midweek.
Hall Garth Country Club , near Darlington, is an attractive period property set in 67 acres of rolling parkland. Activities include golf on a nine hole, par 72 course and an indoor swimming pool. Hall Garth is offering rates of £85 midweek, including room and breakfast.
Cisswood House , in Horsham West Sussex is offering rates of £85, room and breakfast on any day of the week. Recently refurbished, the hotel dates back to the 1920’s when it was the home for a former chairman of Harrods. The hotel still retains many of the original features created by Harrods craftsmen in wood and plasterwork. Several of the hotel’s room overlook the superbly landscaped grounds and the hotel also boasts a pool, sauna and spa bath for relaxation.
